Connect to eCash Betanet
Fork of mainnet with PoW difficulty reset — the ECX beta network. The native currency is eCash (ECX). It runs real BIP300/301 rules, and PoW difficulty is set very low, so it is possible to mine this chain at home.
Network endpoints
seed.beta.ecash.ninja:8533A full Betanet node: the peer you sync from.
eca5b104P2P network magic — Betanet defines its own, so a stock Bitcoin client never completes a handshake with it.
explorer.beta.ecash.ninjaBlock explorer (mempool.space)
esplora.beta.ecash.ninjaEsplora REST API, for querying Betanet programmatically — e.g. /blocks/tip/height or /address/<addr>/utxo.
ssl://explorer.beta.ecash.ninja:50002Electrum server (TLS). Point an Electrum wallet at it to hold ECX without running a node.
Sidechain peers
BIP300 sidechains running on Betanet. Sidechain p2p is QUIC over UDP — add these as peers in the matching sidechain client, passing the listed --network-magic where there is one.
seed.beta.ecash.ninja:4009--network-magic=6c880881Thunder v0.17.5 (L2-S9) — A sidechain with a large & growing blocksize, plus fraud proofs.
Run a node
Download a prebuilt Betanet node, or build it from ecash-com/bitcoin (betanet branch). Then connect to the network:
bitcoind -datadir=./betanet -addnode=seed.beta.ecash.ninja:8533⚠️ Always pass -datadir: because the fork identifies as main, running without it would write into a real ~/.bitcoin directory.
A full sync downloads and validates all of mainnet history up to the fork (~850 GB, several hours).
Binaries for everything else (BitWindow, sidechains, the BIP300/301 enforcer) are at releases.drivechain.info.
Mining
stratum+tcp://pool.beta.bip300.xyz:3334Point a stratum miner at the public pool. See pool.beta.bip300.xyz for stats and setup instructions.
